Ratings:2.5/5 Review By: Anupama Chopra Site:Star World
Oblivion, which was partially shot in Iceland, has some staggeringly beautiful landscapes and a very cool bubble aircraft that ferries Harper back and forth. But mostly director Joseph Kosinski’s film, adapted from his own unpublished graphic novel, feels like one of drones featured in the film. It’s gleaming, mechanical and lifeless. At over two hours, Oblivion becomes a test of Cruise’s charisma and your patience. I’m going with two and a half stars. This is one of those tepid films that doesn’t soar or sink enough to arouse any emotion.
