Mad About Dance or MAD is all set to release tomorrow on 22nd August 2014. Being directed and acted by Saahil Prem along with other lead actor Amrit Maghera. Sahil is a new man in the industry having started his career in Bollywood with movie Ragini MMS 2 acting along with Sunny Leone. MAD is his debut direction, which is a dance and music based movie being shot in Sheffield having the angle of patriotism as well wherein the Asian boys are seen proving their worth in dance against the white people in the UK.  The movie comprises of everything, which revolves around the life of youth. Right from showcasing their dreams, fears, anxieties, hopes and disappointments they have for their future, it has loads of stuff to show. And above all, the struggle, heartbreaks, trials and tribulations along with triumphs, everything is being shown melodiously by the debut director.
Though it is not the sequel of ABCD (Any Body Can Dance), yet can be called as being inspired by the same to a great extent. We have young guns and novices like Saahil Prem understanding this niche based movie so well and presenting before the audience in the most appropriate way. He along with another newcomer called Amrit Maghera. Music and dance are two vital elements of the movie, which epitomizes the spirit of melody in an incredible way. Hence calling it an album sort of movie wont be wrong, but the performances by these novices in the industry has been fabulous. The music and songs being worked out by Sahil and team comprising of Vidyadhar Bhave, Dr.Zeus , Sangeet and Siddharth Haldipur has been incredible, which has really sufficed the expectations of the audience.
The movie revolves around the youths of Asian (India) origin, who are being challenged by the white people to beat in dance. The central theme of the movie therefore is to prove their worth in dance and music and carve niche in this domain establishing parallel to the existing western musical and dance set up in the alien country. Besides, this zealous film is also clubbed with elements like high and low emotions with incredible drama. The movie is simply about pass via the tough ruts of life. The kind of energy you feel in the characters of the movie sounds incredible, which has the potentials to inspire the audience to stretch their backs to pursue their dreams.

The passion for dance and music showcased by MAD is very much stunning, which is perhaps never been seen before in Bollywood movies. You may find some glimpse for the same in ABCD but MAD has all together a different flamboyance in it, which is really hard to find in any other Bollywood movies made on similar subjects be in the past of a year before in ABCD. Amrit Maghera being the new face still has impressed with her acting and needless to say the kind of soothing voice she has really impressed the audience. Her voice for Ishq Da Bukhar has been melodious, which can make the difference. She is the same lady who has created loads of buzz with being the Face Of Lakme, while the hot guy- Sahil from Ragini MMS 2 has been really sensual in the movie.

Mad About Dance Review : Last Words

Mad About Dance is a niche based movie, which is very much different than the romance and love movie. Being produced and directed in a unique style, which keeps the spirit of dance and music at the top, may not impress every sect of the audience. Hence from the very first day the movie has declared its audience, which would be selective but would be very much seductive to watch and catch a movie embarking the first time in Bollywood. Sahil can be called as man of many parts, as apart from acting in the lead role to direction, he has also written the script for the same.  Whereas as far as the choreography is concerned, the duo Salah Benlemqawanssa and Supple Nam have been behind the simple and difficult dance sequences found in the movie. The dialogue comes from Kanu Behl, while the editing is carried out by Meghna Manchanda Sen.

Mardaani  Hindi Movie Review

Ratings:2.5/5 Review By: Lokesh Dharmani  Site: Masala
Mardaani is a fair attempt to address an important issue of child trafficking. Gopi Puthran, the writer of the film, has chosen a very simplistic, linear style to tell the story of Shivani Shivaji Roy, the senior inspector of Mumbai Crime Branch, who nabs the trafficking racket. There are no unnecessary twists and turns, convoluted flashbacks or, worse, forced item numbers in the end. Simple, straight screenplay. Mardaani is a more commercial, less disturbing version of Nagesh Kukunoor’s Lakshmi. The film could be too simplistic for many, but doesn’t offend you or underestimate your IQ. Watch it once. It won’t hurt.

Mardaani is not in the same league as ‘Kahaani’ or ‘English Vinglish’, but it still deserves applause for attempting to portray a movie minus Bollywood's trademark frills. Even when the inspiring story crumbles towards the end with unnecessary melodrama and a corny monologue, Rani flaunts her finest act. Yet, this isn’t at par with ‘Kahaani’ or ‘English Vinglish’, only because writer Gopi Puthran reduces ‘Mardaani’ into an unimaginative mess by trafficking in the usual tropes of supercops and psychotic baddies without giving the tale a wicked twist. With so much going for ‘Mardaani’, it’s unfortunate that its filmmakers failed to pull it through. That said, we still think it deserves a trip to the cinema just because it’s a step in the right direction.

The much-awaited movie to see Rani Mukherji The much-awaited movie to see is a different avatar called Mardani is all set to embark in the theatres this coming Friday the 22nd August. The movie comes from Yash Raj Films, being directed by Pradeep Sarkar, with lead roles being played by Rani Mukherjee, Jishu Sengupta, Thahir Raj Bhasin, etc, while the music is given by Julius Packiam. You will find Rani is all together a different avatar, wherein she is seen as a crime branch officer dealing with the case of Child Trafficking and busting the racket working behind this menace found in the society. In India wherein you witness more than 40,000 kids being abducted and smuggled every year, making such movie to create awareness about this issue and empowering the women in our society is really a good idea. Indeed the statistics of child trafficking in India is very much alarming wherein you would find a girl child missing every eight minute.
Though the theme and the production house YRF do not match each other as this company has been producing movies more on the subjects like love, romance and friendship but changing the track really seems appreciable. Thats called responsibility, which any big banners like YRF seems to be accomplishing by embarking with a movie like Mardani. The movie simply revolves around a lady cop called Shivani Shivaji Roy, which is being played by Rani Mukherji. She is an astute police officer in Mumbai Crime Branch, who is known for checking the hidden clues along with confronting the hard-core criminals in the most ruthless manner the way these elements deserve the treatment.
The script of the movie seems to be straight and seems very much realistic in an Indian society wherein we all live having so many cases of child trafficking. The cop has her little niece called Meera to whom the lady cop is very much protective. Another teenager called Pyari seen in the movie is just like a daughter to Rani, who is unfortunately is kidnapped by the trafficking mafia, who is then smuggled this girl to another city. Rani takes up this life changing case in her hand and seen taking a long and wild chance to nab the criminal behind this abduction. The mafia kingpin Walt simply calls this lady inspector simply inquire as to what can stop this cop to chase this mastermind.
Shivani has no clue about this mafia kingpin, but she poses a challenge to catch him alive within 30 days. This challenge then follows a cat and rat game between the police and the ruthless mafia kingpin. This man who is behind the entire business of Child Trafficking is a malicious and cruel man who sees nothing wrong in this trade. For him, it is just another recreational business, wherein he supplies young girl to his clients to suffice their carnal desire. Virtually you may find this man to be the 12th match of any cricket team, however, as you see this man in this movie, he is one of the most merciless and a man with stone heart. The movie is all about the hide and seeks of this man and the diehard efforts of Rani to catch him dead or alive.

Mardani Review Final words :

As far as performance of different character, Rani has left no stone unturned to give her best in Mardani. In fact, she has even approached the ATS chief to find out some lady cops in Crime Branch Mumbai Police and thus invested lots of her time studying their lifestyle and ways they deal in their daily chores. Her efforts to replicate the real in the movie were successful to bring out the best of her performances in the said movie. In fact, if you remember her playing the flamboyant journalist in No One Killed Jessica, you would have no two thought about her acting performance, which she has once again showcased in Mardani. While Tahir Bhasin in the role of Walt has been incredible, at least if you look any novice playing such ruthless character so well, he can be given good score for playing this role so nicely. Though Mardani is a music-less film yet you have the choice to enjoy it to some extent amidst loads of action from Rani.
