Dum Laga ke Haisha Box Office Collection

Fourth Day
1.08 Crore ( Trade Figure)

Four Days Total
7.17 Crore ( Trade Figure)

Dum Laga Ke haisha held strongly on monday with collections down very slightly from Day 1 due to multiplex ticket pricing being lower on Monday than Friday.

For this movie Monday had more Footfalls than Friday in multiplexes.

It is likely to have a long run and exhibitors are likely to allot screens to the film in second week.

First day:
1.11 Crore ( Trade Figure)

Second Day Collections:
2.13 Crore ( Trade Figure)

Third Day Collections:
2.85 Crore ( Trade Figure)

YRF has opened this movie in only 769 screens mostly multiplexes and a few single screens. It will only move to more single screens from next week.

Dum laga ke Hiasha has opened lower than Ab Tak Chappan 2 since it has larger number of screens.

Dum Laga Ke Haisha had good word of mouth and reviews and should improve on weekend to have a chance at the box office.

Dum laga ke Haisha is made on a small budget of 13 Crore inclusive of prints and advertising.

YRF has not done too much marketing for the movie and has been relying on reviews and digital marketing to do business.

Ayushman's last few films had failed to do well and hence this movie is important for him

It needs to do a business  of 15 crores to cover all its costs.

Qissa Hindi Movie Review

Ratings:4/5 Review By:  Saibal Chaterjee SiteNDTV
In a world in the grip of growing religious intolerance and rampant sectarian violence, and in a country that still has to constantly remind itself of the need to save its daughters, Qissa has unmistakable resonance. But the film is provocative poetry, and not preachy polemic, which makes it a true work of art. Qissa is that rare cinematic treat that no genuine film lover should deprive himself/herself of.

Qissa is ‘dastaangoi’, and much more than that. One of the best films in recent times, it’s an experience not to be forgotten easily. Your experiences in life will decide your views towards the film and vice-versa. We are going with 4.5 for Anup Singh’s idiosyncratic drama Qissa: The Tale of a Lonely Ghost.

Qissa is a painful story dealing with issues of identity crisis and is particularly hard-hitting. The raw nature of this film is not meant for everyone and so watch this film if you want to see something meaningful.

Low on logic, and high on opulence, her movies flourish on song and dance, and rides purely on Shah Rukh Khan’s shoulders, or might we add abs! Her ‘Happy New Year’, however, is her weakest dance link, or should we say the “worst” yet. It’s never about the dance but about comedy of the lowest rank and over-the-top patriotism. Armed with no real story and dialogues and scenes borrowed from SRK’s earlier films, ‘Happy New Year’s exposes Farah’s deep desire to impress SRK.

The robbery and its build-up should have been water-tight, but their clowning around takes up a lot of screen time making it a tedious watch. You may find yourself laughing at some of their antics, but HNY proves that nothing spectacular comes out of mixing gang robbery with grinding hips. It’s got a few silly jokes, but they are too few to transform HNY into an engaging watch.

Happy New Year (HNY) Full Movie Review 2014 Taran Rajeev Koimoi Bookmyshow

Ratings:2.5/5 Review By: Kavita Sriniavasan Site:Masala
Strange moments aside, there were glimpses of Farah’s brilliant humour and not a dull (illogical and strange, yes) moment in the movie. In Happy New Year, like her previous flicks, the best is saved for the last as the entire cast and crew take part in a “Worst Dance Competition” when the credits roll. It all ends with a svelte Gauri and a cherubic  AbRam playing with his besotted dad SRK. Is sitting through the entire movie worth it just to get to the end? In this case, YES! The final word: Happy New Year is worth a watch this festive season. You will, like me, laugh throughout the movie – whether at, or with them! Dear readers, you decide.

Happy New Year (HNY) Full Movie Review 2014 Taran Rajeev Koimoi Bookmyshow

After a much hype and buzz, the Farah Khan’s movie – Happy New Year is releasing this Friday the 24th October 2014. It is a multi-starrer movie with lead actors like Shah Rukh KhanDeepika PadukoneBoman IraniSonu SoodAbhishek Bachchan and Vivaan Shah. So, you have a pool of talents coming together in a big budget and would be blockbuster movie of 2014. Besides, you have a slew of actors who are seen in special appearance. These include Dino Morea, Sarah Jane Dias, Prabhu Deva, Malaika Arora Khan, Vishal Dadlani, Sajid Khan and Anupam Kher. The music comes from the talented duo– Vishal-Shekhar, while it is directed by Farah Khan, which will be her third time with SRK after Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om. The movie is produced by Gauri Khan, which comes under the banner of SRK – Red Chillies Entertainment. Happy New Year is releasing three languages, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.

Now, let’s check the plot of the movie. Well, it is all about the team of six losers coming together in some of the most incredible underdog story in order to pull out the high end and pricey diamond heist as ever. So, whether the team of losers will be able to become winners or not would be interesting to catch in the film. In nutshell, the script has loads of stuff, right from action to dance, music, let’s not forget the 123 number of Mohini performed by the then sensation called Madhuri Dixit, which rocked the eighties too seem to be present in Happy New Year in new avatar. It is performed none other than sensual leggy lass called Deepika Padukone, who is seen performing over the reminiscent 123 Number of Tezaab, which starts with the same style ‘Kaha Thi Aap’ but soon changes to a new style, which most of the critics find average on comparison to the older hit number.

Now let’s talk about the performance, well as always, Shah Rukh Khan, the Baadshah of Bollywood has overshadowed with his performance with his eight pack abs not the six ones, which he showcased for Om Shanti Om. Interestingly, he has been working hard for around a year or so to have these pack abs over his body. They seem incredible in the character of Charlie or Chandramohan Sharma be it action, romance or other things, King Khan is simply awesome in his performance. You would simply love to catch his actions underwater and perhaps would even give him more marks than his character he played in Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2 in 2012. Again his onscreen  chemistry with the leggy lass unlike the previous hit Chennai Express and Om Shanti Om seems to be gleaming up. The kind of Aura, SRK has around his persona can be deeply felt in Happy New Year unlike the way, you often discovered in his previous movies.

Next comes the leggy lass, she too has embarked as a bombshell in the movie. Don’t forget his pole dance, which seems to have been tried the first time in any Bollywood dance. The kind of heat and sensuality she has garnered with her performance and hot appearance has simply cornered everyone. Perhaps, the guys from Times of India would be badly cornered for their comments checking her haute and incredible performance in the movie. Whether it is the dance or the romance or her character, she has indeed surpassed the expectations of both her fans and critics. No more words just go and check her performance as you know the old axiom- seeing is believing. Now talking about other people, first comes Boman Irani, he is known as a versatile actor and his character of Temhton Irani has be simply awesome. Even the others including Sonu Sood, Abhishek Bachchan and yes Vivaan Shah the young and cute guy has been superb in his character of Rohan.

Now let’s talk about the music, once again the duo music directors – Vishal and Shekhar along with the lyrist Irshad Kamil is able to render good amount of fodder for the audience with great sounds. Once again they have delivered with seven different and diverse kind of original tracks comprising of a solo electronic version, medley and variation along with instrumental number. On the contrary, Farah Khan seemed more concerned about the quality of the movie rather than the songs. Getting the longevity for the album seems difficult for the composer. Perhaps it can be called as a mixed bag and to a large extent the album is no bigger than the movie itself. Yet few of the songs of the album remain at the top of the chartbuster including Manwa Lage and yes let’s not forget Kamlee.

Last Word Happy New Year Movie Review :

Happy New Year is an extravagant movie in terms of stars, music, dance and performance. It is a blend of all the masala or spices found in Bollywood as evident in any other movie particularly the SRK Films. The star value you witness in HNY has been phenomenal, thanks to stalwarts like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani and yes let’s not forget Jackies Shroff who was seen in a negative character too seemed flawless over the silver screen. SRK has been proved lucky for Farah Khan, which she has failed to garner with the other stars as in the case of Tees Maar Khan. She should pay tribute to her close buddy SRK for giving a tag of a successful director, as rudely speaking she isn’t that successful without the star value of King Khan. Anyway, talking about the film, the rating can be 4 that too for SRK, Deepika and others’ performance.

Annabelle Movie Review

Ratings:3/5 Review By: Rajeev Masand Site:CNN IBN
But, like The Conjuring, the reason Annabelle is more effective than your average horror film is because the acting is pretty solid. It helps that director John R Leonetti (cinematographer of The Conjuring) uses special effects sparingly, choosing instead to craft simple scenes that are steeped in menacing silence. Annabelle isn’t perfect – hell, it isn’t even as good as The Conjuring – but despite its unconvincing climax, it’s got moments of spine-tingling horror that do the trick. I’m going with three out of five.

Ratings:3/5 Review By: Gavin Rasquinha Site: Times Of India (TOI)
But Annabelle's overall effect could have been enhanced with a more ominous score, as a big part of a horror film's psychological impact lies in its music. Annabelle alights on most horror tropes but comes across as a jack of all trades, but a master of none. Still, it will give you your money's worth, while not really serving you anything too memorable (or scary) as some of the other, more sinister horror films we've seen in the last few years.

Basically, Annabelle is Chucky in drag -- which is funny because drag is the exact term I'd use to describe the film. Coming from the very people who gave us The Conjuring, Annabelle moves slower than a snail trying to book a ticket on the IRCTC website. If you're looking for a scare, look into your 8th grade math textbooks. All that the theatre can offer you in this case is a deep, dreamless sleep.

Ratings:2/5 Review By: Troy Riberio Site: Zee News
Overall, due to the generic and formulaic turn of events, their performances do not manage to elicit any emotional support from the audience. Made on a moderate budget, the production quality of the film is above average. Production designer, Bob Ziembicki has managed to recreate the early 1970 era, which is captured by James Kniest's lenses to perfection. Overall, with a few effective scares "Annabelle" is a recycled jamboree of scare flicks that feels like wasted resources

Ratings:2.5/5 Review By: Tanaya Ramyani Site: Bookmyshow
Even with the dry bloodless horror, Annabelle effectively uses shadows and lighting techniques to give a feel of the menacing danger. John R. Leonetti who was also the cinematographer for The Conjuring and Insidious, makes clever use of the wide angles and the special effects. Some of the scenes might give the faint-hearted sleepless nights. But, if you are genuinely willing to get scared, you can give Annabelle a miss.

Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami Full Hindi Movie Review,Storyline,Video Songs,Poster

Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami looks like a film which has emotional drama and laughter in the perfect balance. Tabhi toh, even when King Khan heard the script he was so moved that he immediately offered to attend its trailer launch and promote it later as well.
Anupam Kher, the veteran actor who gets under the skin of every role he plays can be seen playing an honest and proud citizen of the country the government has wronged. We look forward to another moving performance after Khosla ka Ghoslaand Special 26.

Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami movie

Divyendu Sharma plays the younger son and his natural and effortless manner of getting the pulse of every scene he enacts looks impeccable onscreen.

Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami movie
Manu Rishi plays the elder son and we have already seen him dazzle in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!We are expecting lots from his performance in this one as well.
Neha Dhupia and Rajesh Sharma play the apt supporting cast. Neha’s sexiness is complemented by Sharma’s libidious performance and that brings hilarity to the sceen

We are excited to watch how the story of this one unfolds!
A righteous father passes away and just before dying he commands his last wish, that to get the ultimate respect. Two sons who have been spoilt and unloving all their lives, determine to fulfill their father’sdeath wish and what entails is a hilarious yet emotional journey. Here is five things we liked about the trailer:
Meanwhile, Neha will next be seen on the big screen in Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami. Her role is that of a struggling actress.
Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami movie
Of struggle in real life, the former beauty queen said: “It’s an ongoing process. Everybody is struggling – be it people in the top league or the newcomers.”
The film features Neha in a song via which she has paid a tribute to celebrated actresses like Helen, Madhuri Dixit, Zeenat Aman and Aishwarya Rai. She says she was especially conscious about imitating dancer par excellence Helen.
Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami movie

“It was a very challenging song where I had to copy the steps of legendary actresses. I was consious about imitating Helenji. She is a legend and a fabulous dancer. The song is part of the film and it’s very unusual,” she added

Bang Bang Review 2014 Full Hindi movie review

Hrithik Roshan has once again proved his on screen prowess with the latest song #TuMeri from Bang Bang. The man shows his grandeur amid the beautifully lit up world dancing for lovely Katrina Kaif.

His terrific dance moves accompanied by the magic that Katrina spills with her presence, make the song a good, energetic number.

Also, a feel-good feeling surrounds you apart from the complete energy and fun that Tu Meri serves you anyways, when you constantly keep listening to it. Sung by Vishal Dadlani, the song has got a massive intriguing appeal and no doubt Hrithik’s incomparable charm is just adding to it.

The music, lyrics and the singing together make Tu Meri entertaining but it is Hrithik’s marvelous energy that actually shapes the song.

While Tu Meri seems not to be one of the best or memorable performances from Hrithik’s dancing closet, it is a sure shot entertaining one.

The eclectic mood including those sparkles and dazzles ablating the sky from the man’s vigour and the whole lot of romance finding room around the couple, Tu Meri is a brilliant visual treat.

Katrina Kaif who looked scintillating in the teaser of the film doing a bit of action looks equally impressive in the song too as she wears a red mini and justifies her chemistry with Hrithik Roshan.

‘Na Janu me, na jane tu…hua ye jaadu kaise, jo mera tha vo kho gaya…jo tera tha vo mil gaya ho jaise…’ lyrics appear in synch with the mood of the song. But, for the fact that almost the entire ‘antara’ makes you go breathless as it progresses, mentions appreciation for the singer here.

Tu Meri seems a little more than an average foot-tapping number that is all about Hrithik Roshan grooving to it. But, the song doesn’t appear standing at par or around anywhere across the periphery of his earlier songs like ‘Ek Pal Ka Jeena’ or ‘Dhoom macha le’ for that matter.

Watch the newly out mesmerizing video of the song ‘Tu Meri’ from Hrithik-Katrina starrer Bang Bang here…

Despite the visible verity that Hrithik and his uber flexible body have not been utilized to their fullest, Tu Meri gives you enough reasons to dance, celebrate and get romantically energetic!

Directed by Siddharth Anand, #BangBang is slated for release on October 2

Composers: Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani

Lyricist: Vishal Dadlani and Anvita Dutt Guptan

Singers: Vishal-Shekhar, Shilpa Rao, Benny Dayal, Ash King, Harshdeep Kaur and Neeti Mohan

Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif’s upcoming film Bang Bang is touted as one of the biggest films of this year. The action thriller has even managed to create great buzz courtesy its dhamakedaar trailer which was released not too long ago. But is the music of Siddharth Anand’s big budget directorial venture any good? Well, it’s the first that music composer duo Vishal-Shekhar have worked on Hrithik’s film. So let’s check out what kind of music these two have come up with for the honey-eyed actor’s film Bang Bang

Tu Meri: This upbeat dance number has been sung by Vishal Dadlani and we must admit the talented singer has indeed done a fine job. Usually, we hear this composer-singer crooning songs which are high pitched but this one is a bit different. It’s high on energy, peppy and does have a rock feel to it thanks to the usage of bass. Also, I liked the way tempo of the song kept changing. Guess that made Tu Meri more edgier. Overall, this track is a good hear. But the video is more entertaining and engaging courtesy Jr Roshan’s sassy moves.
Meherbaan: This romantic number starts off with Guitar in the mainstay and its an absolute treat to the ears. Then you get hear the lyrics which aren’t bad as well. Meherbaan is mainly sung by Ash King and Shilpa Rao. And both of them have sung their parts well. But I totally loved the way ‘Meherbaan hua hua..’ has been sung in chorus. Its just beautiful. However, the music did sound a bit familiar. But if you like listening to lovey-dovey numbers then I am pretty sure this romantic rendition won’t disappoint you. There is a reprise version as well which is crooned by Shekhar and its a MUST HEAR. Trust us!
Uff: Sung by Harsdeep Kaur and Benny Dayal, this track is quite thanda compared to the other songs in the album. Yes, the music is upbeat and the lyrics are quirky but it just doesn’t pack a punch. You may not even hear the song till the very end coz it gets boring barely after few seconds. Guess it would be better if you skip this one!

Bang Bang: The title track of Hrithik-Katrina starrer reminded me of ’80s disco music. Sung by Benny Dayal and Neeti Mohan, Bang Bang has a very retro feel to it and that works in its favour to an extent. But it could have been more thumping since it’s all about bang bang. But it’s still worth hearing once if not twice or thrice. And if you’re watching the video as well then maybe you may end up hearing the song a lot more wethinks.
Verdict: Bang Bang is one of the most highly anticipated film of this year and wethinks composer duo Vishal-Shekhar have come up with a pulsating album which will appeal to masses.
Our pick: Meherbaan reprise version and Tu Meri…in the same order!
Rating:3 out of 53 Star Rating
