She asks them did they think before playing such cheap game, we all got worried. She says Emily did not tell her parents too and calls them selfish. Emily s mum says if we get such news, think what we go through.
She says what you both did was wrong, Sandhya is right, so I supported her in this drama. Emily says we did not wish to cheat them, but wanted to come back in family. Sooraj says its good way to repent, Mohit was madly thinking about you and crying, did you think of your daughter, she cried a lot. He says my Bhabho, what did she do, she was blaming herself all the while, when she did not do anything.\

Sandhya explains them that to forgive, they have to bend, not make others bend to you. Sooraj says running from family and hurting yourself, blackmailing family to get forgiveness is being coward, such forgiveness is by force. They both explain them what they did, and they have done this to make them value what they were losing. Sooraj says Emily would have really lost her family if we did not come to Delhi and saw her accident.

Meenakshi and Emily apologize to Babasa and Bhabho, and say we are ashamed, we want out family, nothing else. They say we will not be separated now. Bhabho forgives them. She asks them to see what their mistake did. Meenakshi and Emily smile and apologize to everyone. Bhabho says like every color in holi is incomplete without all, our family is also like that. They all promise to be together. Bhabho does tilak to all.

She says listen to me once. Taisa gives her laddoos and asks her not to give anyone, its special laddoos for them. Sandhya starts eating the laddoos and like it. She says Sooraj ji thinks I m joking, and sees him. She sees three Sooraj by her changed vision under Bhaang effect and laughs. She counts 1,2,3 Sooraj ji and laughs.

Thursday 26 February 2015

For past few years YRF has been producing flicks with majorly small towns in the backdrop. No wonder this step is yielding good results and so they don’t mind following this formula. This time they present Dum Laga Ke Haisha, a conventional love story set in Haridwar, which has equal measures of fun, romance and ultimately entertainment.

The story revolves around Sandhya Verma (Bhumi Pednekar), and Prem Prakash Tiwari (Ayushmann Khurrana). Sanhhya is an influential school teacher in Haridwar but is upset with her excessive
weight of 85 kgs. Prem Prakash Tiwari is huge Kumar Sanu fan and runs an audio cassette shop. The one person he is afraid of is his father (Sanjay Mishra) who assumes him as ‘good for nothing’.

Circumstances or rather say a promise that his parents had made to a friend years ago force Prem to get hitched to extra large Sandhya. As expected he is clearly embarrassed of her and with no solution but to continue his marital life, Prem keeps a safe distance from Sandhya.

Stars- Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar
Director- Sharat Katariya
Music- Anu Malik

The innocent Sandhya however, is trying hard to make her husband happy but Prem is least pleased by all her attempts. The irritation between this unusual pair wasn’t enough that now Prem’s mother asks him to participate in a race competition with his wife. However, he once again surrenders to his family’s adamant wish, but this time he doesn’t disappoint them.

So, will he prove his family what he is capable of? And will Prem and Sandhya find true love together through this competition? Find out all in Dum Laga Ke Haisha.

Sharat Katariya noted for writing Bheja Fry, Hum Tum Shabana, marks an impressive directorial debut with the flick, which is made with heart. He has a good grip on the screenplay while the execution is well graphed.

However, earlier too there have been movies dealing with the unusual pairs and most of them have been truly magnificent with their final outcome. Dum Laga Ke Haisha keeping the premise similar lays a different result. The odd pairing of Sandhya an XL lady and comparatively linear Prem is humorous and emotional as well.

There are usual happenings that are presented on screen. Like in small towns it’s still prevalent that couples are not allowed to utter a word apart from their parents when it’s the matter of their marriage. Prem’s dream of owing a beautiful wife is shattered when his father forces upon him a heavyweight wife. It’s a usual state, which still is common in society and is beautifully presented on screen by the director.
Odd pairing isn’t an issue but it’s the understanding and compatibility, which matters the most in a marital life. Sharat Katariya deals with this simple thought through an extra-ordinary measure in Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
There is more in life beyond facing embarrassment of being a strange couple. It’s love and commitment from your partner that could overcome any deed in real life.

Katariya delivers this message in a light-hearted manner and quirky dialogues.

And Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar make this drama more real. Ayushmann once again gives a brilliant performance. The actor may have been let down by bad script previously but this time he isn’t.

Debutant actress Bhumi is the soul of the flick. You feel pity for her, you laugh on her foolishness while she lures her onscreen husband and ultimately you fall in love with her.

Backbone of the movie is its supporting cast. Sanjay Mishra, Alka Amin, Sheeba Chaddha, Seema Pahwa and Sanjeeva Vatsa make up a great family together and present a great show.

Music by Anu Malik is good. Dard Karara is our pick from the album. Dum Laga Ke Haisha is a good family watch and should slowly gain popularity among the masses.

Dum Laga Ke Haisha will hit the screens on February 27, 2015.

Kingsman: The Secret Service delivers knockout blows and finally we have an action film without the existential drama that most of them seem to exude. Taron and Colin Firth are a wonderful team. One is the young disciple who needs training and the other, the master-spy. Kingsman: The Secret Service is a glorious collection of everything good about spy films and none of the political correctness. In the end, you will walk out of the theatre feeling like a gentleman spy. How awesome is that?

Wild English Movie Review

Ratings:2.5/5 Review By:  Rajeev Masand Site:CNN IBN
Adapted by Nick Hornby from a book by the real Ms Strayed, this 'based-on-a-true-story' movie nevertheless suffers on account of its sheer obviousness. In the end, 'Wild' proves to be that rare movie about an epic life-changing journey that leaves you impressed by its scale and ambition, but largely unmoved by the person at the heart of it. I'm going with two-and-a-half out of five.

Wild benefits from a simple, strong and straight-ahead storyline; its multi-linear narrative offers us various perspectives, such as glimpses into various stages of Cheryl's life prior to the present day, via flashbacks. These windows into her past about what could have and what should have been, still torment her. While the ending seems a bit hurried and underwhelming, it is Witherspoon who shines throughout. She is extremely convincing in this stripped-down role, whose character she appears to have completely and convincingly absorbed.

A compelling human story about grief, pain, hope and happiness. This movie brings all of this together. Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern are amazing in their respective roles. Jean-Marc Vallee has delivered a movie that fills you with a warm glow. This is a story that should be emulated by all.

Ab Tak Chappan 2 Hindi Movie Review

Ratings: 2/5 Review By: Manjusha Radhakrishnan Site: Gulfnews.com
It’s a familiar story, but what makes it engaging is the no-frills approach to how the events unfurl. There are no songs or unnecessary dialogues to put the brakes on the story, but there are no riveting twists either to make it entertaining from start to finish. The twists are far too predictable and lame. Also, stereotypes such as the villains being dark-skinned and unwashed are peddled with cheerful abandon here. While Patekar takes up every frame, actors such as Gul Panag who plays a crime reporter and Ashutosh Rana who plays Agashe’s jealous colleague, provide him support. Watch this if you are a fan of Patekar and have an appetite for gory gangster-cop films.

Ashutosh Rana enters as his insecure subordinate, and distracts him immensely with his need to steal the spotlight. It’s unfortunate that he’s left to indulge in fun banter, but never allowed to flex his acting chops. Even seasoned actors like Vikram Gokhale, Raj Zutshi, Mohan Agashe and Govind Namdev aren’t utilized to their optimum. There is also Gul Panag who slips behind geeky glasses to lend authenticity and grit to a crime reporter. Eleven years after director Shimit Amin created the magnanimous encounter specialist Sadhu, Gulab crushes him with an unfitting comeback.

Bandipotu Telugu Movie Review - Allari Naresh

Release date : Feb 20, 2015
desimama.in Rating : 3/5
Director : Mohan Krishna Indraganti
Producer : Aryan Rajesh
Music Director : Kalyani Malik
Starring: Allari Naresh, Eesha, Sampoornesh Babu

After the decent success of Brother of Bommali, Allari Naresh is back with yet another interesting project Bandipotu. Directed by Indraganti Mohan Krishna, this film has hit the screens today . Let’s see how it is.

Story:-

Vishwa (Allari Naresh) is a conman who keeps cheating rich people. One fine day, a girl named Jahnavi(Esha) meets Vishwa and hires him to con three ex best friends Makrandam(Tannikella Bharani) Seshagiri(Rao Ramesh) and Bale Babu(Posani).
Accepting her proposal, Vishwa manages to successfully con two of the three friends. Twist in the tale arises when Seshagiri and Makarandam come to know of this and plan a counter attack. Rest of the story is about how Vishwa manages to escape this counter attack and successfully cons the third friend Bale Babu.

Plus Points:-
With Bandipotu, you can see a new and rejuvenated Allari Naresh. Right from his looks to his performance, Naresh has done a decent job and proves that he can carry a film on his shoulders. All his confrontation scenes with Rao Ramesh have been executed well. Heroine Esha looks beautiful and has portrayed her character with a lot of confidence.
Major assets of the film are the performances of Tannikella Bharani and Rao Ramesh. Both these actors deliver a mature performance and give life to the film. Posani brings in a few laughs and is good in his role.
Chandra Mohan is apt in his character and so is Subhaleka Sudhakar. First half of the film is pretty decent and has some engaging moments. The way Naresh cons Bharani and Rao Ramesh has been executed quite well.

Minus Points:-
Major drawback of the film is lack of regular entertainment. Other than a few scenes in the first half, Bandipotu is little low on mass comedy. All those who expect good humor and fun from Naresh’s films will be a little disappointed with this flick.
Sampoornesh Babu is wasted in his role. Except for a brief scene in the first half, he is no where to be seen in the film. Bandipotu is a bit predictable and the twists and turns that are showcased are just about ok. Second half gets a bit serious and the proceedings take time to unfold.
Heroine Esha has absolutely nothing to do in the second half and is hardly there in the film.An item song breaks out of now where and spoils the flow of the film. Certain logics go missing and many scenes lack clarity.

Technical Aspects:-
Music by Kalyan Koduri is good and all the songs have been shot exceptionally well. Production values are pretty good as the makers have not compromised on the visuals. Screenplay of the film is crisp and all the scenes in the first half have been dealt interestingly.
Director Mohan Krishna presents Naresh in a new dimension and extracts decent performance from him. Dialogues are very good and suit the mood of the film. Camera work is pretty good and presents the film in a decent light.

Qissa Hindi Movie Review

Ratings:4/5 Review By:  Saibal Chaterjee SiteNDTV
In a world in the grip of growing religious intolerance and rampant sectarian violence, and in a country that still has to constantly remind itself of the need to save its daughters, Qissa has unmistakable resonance. But the film is provocative poetry, and not preachy polemic, which makes it a true work of art. Qissa is that rare cinematic treat that no genuine film lover should deprive himself/herself of.

Qissa is ‘dastaangoi’, and much more than that. One of the best films in recent times, it’s an experience not to be forgotten easily. Your experiences in life will decide your views towards the film and vice-versa. We are going with 4.5 for Anup Singh’s idiosyncratic drama Qissa: The Tale of a Lonely Ghost.

Badlapur Hindi Movie Review

Ratings:4/5 Review By:  Raja Sen Site:Rediff
Badlapur is all fury and fog, a revenge saga that plays out with such eyebrow-singeing intensity that I could imagine a gravel-voiced narrator filling us in on dames and dreams and dark, stormy nights. As the curtain falls on Badlapur, any argument on rightness feels both moot and muddy. This is a noir world, its aftertaste like chocolate with 85% cocoa, and the answer is deceptively simple: Who gets right of way? The one in a greater hurry.

Sriram Raghavan's neo-noir crime thriller is about vengeance and forgiveness all right, but one thing that the film isn't is conventional. Badlapur toys with many shades of grey, significantly enhancing the effect of its pivotal dramatic conflict. In conclusion, Badlapur might not be in the Ek Hasina Thi and Johnny Gaddar league, but it is a happy sign that Sriram Raghavan has left Agent Vinod behind.

Badlapur is a gobsmacking movie that suffuses on screen - a deftly written story, spectacular performances and an intelligently layered screenplay. What works best here is the film's unpredictability. From the minute it begins, you're latched to your seat with your heart throbbing in your mouth and your throat frequently choking up. For the sheer impact the movie conjures up, writer-director Sriram Raghavan deserves a bow

While the first half keeps you firmly in its grip, the second half starts meandering a little till it captures you back with an absolutely unforeseeable climax. What you mainly take away from this movie is its core; a story (written by Sriram Raghavan) that tells us that most often the situation is the villain. And, perhaps, each of us is capable of turning a criminal when faced with an extreme situation.

And yes, it is a film that will continue to live-on in the minds of cinema lovers for a long time to come.

Ratings:1/5 Review By:  Renuka Vyavahare Site:Times Of India
In case you missed the first two hours of the film, pitaji ensures you don't miss out on it by repeating the gyaan in the climax. Isn't he just like the song dedicated to him? As a result of poor and amateurish direction, the film tends to suffer big time, and starts looking and behaving as a propaganda documentary of Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. . On the whole, MSG: THE MESSENGER is a film that can be watched once... purely for the dynamics and the histrionics of the endearing Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, whose onscreen antics seem to make the onscreen antics of Rajnikanth look like a child's play!

The whole film looks like those Pakistani VFX videos we laugh at on YouTube and -- while there is definitely, definitely something to be said for a film where a talking Barbie doll tells the hero how a little girl in a bride costume is in danger, and where a villain uses a Quidditch ball to drug people -- at 197 minutes it is sheer torture. SO NO RATING. THIS IS NOT A MOVIE.

It is reminiscent of the film Jigarthanda, in which a local gangster forces a filmmaker at gunpoint to make him a superstar. The third act of that movie is pretty much the story of MSG’s release and now a bridge between satire and reality. Why the film faced any ban is a mystery. You can laugh with the movie, and more so at the movie. It’s a win win. I reckon the censor board wanted to ban the movie for being too awesome. There is literally no better way to spend your valentines day than taking your date to watch the Love Charger.

Despite the punches and kicks, MSG is far from being an action film and probably needs to be slot into a genre that has no predecessors and hopefully, no followers. The makers of the film, two-thirds of which is SRRSI himself, have made no bones about positioning the man as a messiah. It has a few cringe-worthy attempts at comedy and Gaurav Gera (the only familiar face in the film) has the misfortune of delivering them. The story line follows a linear path that builds up to show the man as the ultimate insaan.

It's obvious that a film like The Messenger is nothing but a long format advertisement strictly for followers of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, others can watch it for some entertainment because the hero of this film can do what Ironman, Superman, Captain America and James Bond put together can't do.

The ‘film’ is long and excruciatingly awful only for non-believers. For his adoring followers, each scene is a super-hit. If Bollywood can, why can’t MSG? If Amitabh could do it back in the early 80s (remember Yaarana), why can’t he have suits with every single primary coloured sequin stitched in? Like Salman, he has his bank of pithy sayings. Like Ajay, he strides slo-mo.

No, you shouldn’t watch this film. Go spend your money on whatever else you feel like spending it on, but don’t let it go to waste by buying tickets to MSG: The Messenger. Its torturous length, the languid pace of its scenes, the eyesore of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s clothes and the overall repetitiveness of everything will keep you questioning why you’re occupying your seats still. That’s when you’ll feel the hurt of having given away your hard earned cash for something that doesn’t deserve it a bit.

Roy Hindi Movie Review

Ratings:1/5 Review By: Rajeev Masand Site:CNN IBN
Did anyone who was attached to the film actually read the script before showing up on set? The one strength of the film is its terrific soundtrack, even if those infectious dance numbers do pop up in not all the right places. But that’s faint praise for a movie that limps lethargically for close to 2 hours and 30 minutes, all but collapsing in a predictable twist ending that you’ve guessed a long time ago.I’m going with one out of five for Roy. The unintentionally funny dialogues aside, it’s unlikely that you’ll be smiling very much through this misery.

Vikramjeet Singh has penned a story which is far from engaging or interesting. That it moves at a painfully slow pace and thereby tests the audience’s patience is just one of the many problems. On the whole, Roy is a confused film which will confuse the audience more than it would entertain. Despite a hit music score, it will prove to be a flop fare at the box-office.

Debutant director Vikramjit's premise is uncommon; the execution is stylish - with beautifully captured actors and ambience, but it turns into an emotional drama (often too complex) rather than a taut romantic thriller. It's glazed with visual appeal and style (champagne, cigar, et al), and evokes curiosity too, but the soul of the plot fades into thick clouds of smoke.

As far as the film is concerned, debutante Vikramjit Singh steps into Bollywood with a film that is slow paced and long. His sense of storytelling needs to be more polished than this one. Brownie points to Singh for having captured the luscious beauty of Malaysia in its raw essence. On the whole, ROY is a film to be watched if you are a fan of thriller movies with some soul-stirring music.
